Explore some of our favorite links to sites you will want to visit as you prepare for your journey towards Collegiate Water Polo. As an Illinois athlete, you can find information on the official IllinoisWaterPolo.net web site on upcoming Events and Leagues that can help prepare you for the next level of competition. Aspire to the highest of IHSA water polo similar to those that have been Honored in years past and track your successes at the nationally acclaimed ILLPOLO.COM.

If you think you have what it takes, all College bound athletes seeking to play at the NCAA level must register at the NCAA Clearinghouse to include school transcripts and amateur status affirmation to be declared eligible for NCAA athletics.

The US Olympic Committee's national governing body for United States Water Polo is USWP and hosts the Olympic Development (ODP) and National Events Competitions for 10-18U athletes such as Junior Olympic and Champions Cup (formerly Speedo Cup). USWP is further comprised of 11 Regional zones across the nation to carry out their activities. Midwest athletes are grouped among 13 states for local and regional events.

As you continue to research information on schools, one Conference that College Varsity and Club teams join for organized competitions is CollegiateWaterPolo.com. Further information on Men & Women Varsity clubs are available here under Collegiate Divisions.

For timely information on all things water polo consider Water Polo Planet as adminstered by our friends out East (as an alternative voice besides CA). Here you can find Men's and Women's Collegiate Message Board that includes what programs High School athletes are committing to. Also review links to Men and Women Collegiate Clubs and Junior Colleges that may be more appropriate given your level of interest and commitment.

If you have further questions or comments, please fell free to contact our College Zone administrator Barry J for further information.
